Day 92: The Three Amigos

Proverbs 2:9

Then you will understand what is right, just, and fair,
and you will find the right way to go.

Principle

If you keep heading in this direction, you will get to where you’re going.

I continue to be amazed by men who want different results without making any changes in their decisions. It’s the definition of insanity to do the same thing repeatedly and expect a different outcome. As West Texas humor asks, “How’s that working out for ya?”

Our Advisor tells us that making decisions based on what is right, just, and fair will point us in the right direction.

Right, Just, and Fair are the three friends of destiny:

  • Right – means to have “just cause.” It also means to go “straight.” In other words, you can’t take two trails at once – you can’t be double-minded.
  • Just – means to have a “forensic cause.” That means that you’re able to dissect what making a decision will result in the end. You’re able to see the end before you begin.
  • Fair – means to have a “balanced cause.” We can accurately measure and make a level decision. It is much like using a level to draw a straight line. When we have wisdom, we’re able to keep things straight.

The three amigos – Right, Just, and Fair – for making wise decisions.
