Day 46: The Closet Principle

Proverbs 15:3

The eyes of the Lord are everywhere,
keeping watch on the wicked and the good.

Principle

What you do in secret is what moves you in public.

The kingdom of God operates very differently from the world’s system. The world acknowledges the famous – even if they’re recognized for simply being famous.

In the kingdom of God, that which is done in secret is acknowledged. I call it “The Closet Principle.” God pays attention to what is done in secret chambers. What we do in secret is what moves us in public.

Jesus taught it this way, “When you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.” (Matthew 6:6)

If you look at the pattern of Jesus’ life, he created a rhythm between isolation and public ministry. Amazingly, even though Jesus knew that he only had a short window of time upon the earth, he often withdrew to the wilderness to pray.

The secret to your future is hidden in the daily routine of what you do in secret.

Remember:

The closet principle will work for you, or against you. Share on X
