Keep vigilant watch over your heart; that’s where life starts.

Guard your heart above all else, for it determines the course of your life.
Lately, I have seen some amazing revelations regarding the definition of the Hebrew word for heart. Take a few minutes to read an article entitled, How To Discover Your Purposes, Control Your Appetites, and Stabilize Your Emotions.
Solomon pinpoints the importance of the heart of man in today’s Proverbs by saying that it is the heart that determines the course of our lives. Wow! We know the physical vitality of the heart, but as a cognitive neuroscientist, Dr. Caroline Leaf explains that our heart is directly linked to our brain. Your brain and heart have a kinetic relationship – your heart has a “seat” of thinking. Pretty amazing.
So, let’s be vigilant to watch, guard, protect, and condition our hearts.
