Day 276: Friend of God
Proverbs 3:32
Wicked people are detestable to the lord, but he offers his friendship to the godly.
Principle
God has offered His friendship toward man.
The word detestable is pretty strong, isn’t it? Some men find it hard to swallow – the idea that God looks at anyone as an abomination – yet, that is precisely what He does – he considers wicked people detestable.
However, God also offers His friendship to the righteous. Friendship is an incredibly intimate relationship that God Almighty would seek with us. When Jesus walked with man, you see Him expressing friendship.
When Jesus saw their faith, he said, “Friend, your sins are forgiven.” – Luke 5:20
If your sins are forgiven, you’re a friend of God.
