Day 172: Unanswered Prayers
Proverbs 21:13
If you stop your ears to the cries of the poor, your cries will go unheard, unanswered.
Principle
How you respond when someone calls upon you determines the way God responds when you call upon Him.
As I was driving, my prayers were spontaneously being spoken out loud. The church that I pastored at the time was facing a very substantial financial need. As soon as my prayer was offered – I looked ahead at the intersection to see a man with a sign that read, “Out of work – Family needs food – God bless.”
At that moment, I felt prompted within my spirit to give to that man in need. As I looked in my billfold, I only had a $100 bill. I must admit that I was hesitant. I considered the amount – it was large to my estimation. The light had changed, and I only had a moment to decide. I immediately grabbed the hundred, rolled down the window, and offered it to the man in need.
Within minutes, I received a phone call telling me that a large offering had been made that met the church’s need. As I meditated on the circumstances, I felt confident that these two situations were, in fact, connected.
Whenever I’ve asked God to meet a need in my life – God has shown someone that I have the resources to meet a need in their life.

I have things like this happen to me a lot. When we are in tune with God and His Spirit, these types of miracles don’t seem that unusual.
Amen Pastor Neil,
From people in need standing at an intersection as you Described, and being approached in parking lots. I have learned this Principal. Amen!
