Day 152: When Wisdom Calls, Answer the Phone

Proverbs 1:24

I called you so often, but you wouldn’t come. I reached out to you, but you paid no attention.

Principle

Wisdom is trying to reach you.

Some men have self-defeating habits of not responding to phone calls or emails. They’re lazy when it comes to returning calls or taking a moment and promptly responding to those who are attempting to connect with them. It is a demonstration of incredible arrogance. I believe that it is breaking a fundamental principle that is based upon, “love others as well as you love yourself.” (Mark 12:31)

How you respond to those who call upon you is how God responds when you call upon him.

We should prioritize when someone has reached out to us in any way that we show the respect of answering or returning their call as soon as possible. My goal is within a few minutes or at the latest a few hours, even if my response is that a more detailed response may follow.

The Bible teaches that many have entertained angels without knowing it. (Hebrews 13:2) Imagine – people called upon God in prayer, seeking His help, only to fail to show hospitality to the angels who were sent to deliver the answer to their prayers.

Wisdom is wanting to connect with you! The answer to all that you need and desire in life is found in answer her call.
