Day 128: Strong Men

Proverbs 8:13

The reverent fear and worshipful awe of the Lord includes the hatred of evil, pride, arrogance, the evil way, and perverted and twisted speech I hate.

Principle

You know a man by who his friends are as well as who his enemies are.

Have you noticed that most people have a distorted concept of Christians? I am speaking of the idea that Christian men are some milk-toast, weak-minded, soft-spoken kind of guy.

The idea that you can be a strong man and a Christian at the same time is one of the goals of FivestarMan. We need to be bold enough to speak up and face the foe of our time – a perverted, twisted, arrogant evil that mocks Christ and all who follow Him.

It’s a cowardly generation who will not fight the foe who will one day enslave their children. So, how do we do that?

We must be strong men in the weapons of our warfare – strong enough to tear down strongholds – we demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God. (2 Corinthians 10:5)

That means that we’re going to need to know the Word of God. We need to be very well versed in it. We should prepare to be articulate to speak when we need to do so.

Let’s stand up – put our shoulders back and bodily confront our culture with authentic manhood.
